Dolan | Family
This past week, I had the opportunity to do some pictures of the Dolan family!
We did the shoot at Tift College in Forsyth, GA. It was my first time doing a shoot there. Despite the abundance of goose excrement, it was a good location! Weather was unusually warm for December, but nice!
Some of you know that Mrs. Cynthia is expecting a new baby this next April. The Dolans have a story with this baby -- a story clearly showing the faithfulness and graciousness of God.
They were delighted to find out they were pregnant this past August. In late September, at ten and a half weeks pregnant, doctors told Mrs. Cynthia and Mr. Frank that they were having a baby girl! The doctors were also able to tell from blood tests that this baby girl was going to have a condition known as Turner Syndrome. Turner Syndrome is a condition which causes the baby to either partially or completely be missing an X chromosome. This condition is unique to girls. While the symptoms vary from child to child, they can include the inability to have children, diabetes, and heart defects. Learning disabilities, decreased height, and vision and hearing are also common. (You can read more about Turner Syndrome here.)
Broken hearted by this news, the Dolans began praying. They also enlisted the prayers of their family, friends, and church family. They began making preparations for their baby girl, all the while praying constantly.
God is faithful. God answers prayer.
God heard and answered their prayer. Twenty weeks pregnant, on November 18th, they went in for a heart check. The doctors soon told them that not only does their baby not have Turner Syndrome, that their baby girl was actually a baby boy! They were overjoyed! Soon, they let all of their family, friends and church family know and we rejoiced and praised the Lord too! We are thankful for the Lord's mercy, compassion, and faithfulness. We love you Lord!
Mr. Frank and Mrs. Cynthia are expecting their baby boy April 1st of 2016!
You have a beautiful family Mr. Frank and Mrs. Cynthia! I know all of you are looking forward to your new baby boy coming soon! Congratulations!
Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good, for His steadfast love endures forever. Give thanks to the God of gods, for His steadfast love endures forever. Give thanks to the Lord of lords, for His steadfast love endures forever! Psalm 136:1-3
